Le città vengono corrose dal passare del tempo. La ruggine intacca ciò che con fatica l'essere umano ha costruito, non lascia tregua. L'uomo combatte il passare delle epoche, l'alternarsi delle stagioni, lotta contro il tempo e le sue forme, lotta contro la vita stessa. Perennemente alla ricerca dell'eternità ha bisogno di lasciare una traccia del suo passaggio, battaglia persa in partenza. Tutto cambierà, cambieranno le correnti, cambieranno i venti, cambierà l'aria che respira, cambierà la visione del presente condizionando il futuro, se così non fosse, quello che verrà lasciato alle spalle saranno solo monoliti vuoti destinati a disgregarsi per lasciare spazio solo al tempo che passa , al cambio delle stagioni, alla direzione dei venti, la natura troverà nuovamente il suo corso, tutto verrà assorbito, tutto tornerà ad essere polvere, polvere di ruggine.
Da sempre, utilizzo la mia espressione artistica per analizzare la fragile precarietà che caratterizza l'essere umano.
Sin dalla sua comparsa sulla terra, l'uomo ha trasformato un ecosistema perfetto fonte di sostentamento di tutte le forme di vita rovinandolo.
Oggi, la situazione mondiale ha bisogno di un forte cambiamento.
Attraverso questo progetto affido alla ruggine, metaforica sintesi di un’esistenza precaria, il concetto di impermanenza.
Le stampe fotografiche sono state realizzate attraverso un particolare procedimento su lastre di ferro, sulle quali sono intervenuto in un secondo tempo con una complessa azione manuale per accelerare la corrosione dell’immagine.
Cities are corroded by the passage of time. Rust affects what human beings have built with difficulty, it leaves no respite. Man fights the passing of eras, the alternation of seasons, fights against time and its forms, fights against life itself. Perpetually in search of eternity he needs to leave a trace of his passage, a battle lost from the start. Everything will change, the currents will change, the winds will change, the air we breathe will change, the vision of the present will change, influencing the future, if this were not the case, what will be left behind will only be empty monoliths destined to disintegrate to leave room only for time that passes, with the change of seasons, with the direction of the winds, nature will find its course again, everything will be absorbed, everything will return to dust, rust dust.
I have always used my artistic expression to analyze the fragile precariousness that characterizes human beings.
Since his appearance on earth, man has transformed a perfect ecosystem, a source of sustenance for all forms of life, ruining it.
Today, the world situation needs a strong change.
Through this project I entrust the concept of impermanence to rust, a metaphorical synthesis of a precarious existence.
The photographic prints were created through a particular process on iron plates, on which I intervened later with a complex manual action to accelerate the corrosion of the image.
